Hey all! I'm sick and at home missing school and a L.A. test (WOO-HOO!). I'm sick with Whooping Cough... well, maybe. I don't know yet, 'cause I'm getting tested later on today. I need this to get published A.S.A.P. so other Whyvillians can know if they have Whooping Cough, and to know what the heck it is!
  • Whooping cough is also known as Pertussis.
  • If you have a cold, sore throat or a persistent cough, get to the doctor ASAP!!!
  • If you go to the doctor to get tested, they stick a cotton thing up your nose (or a tube!).
  • People with asthma will get it more easily than other people.
  • If you have W.C., you have to take medicine (antibiotics).
  • It's spread person-to-person from respiratory droplets (coughing or sneezing on you).
  • If you have W.C., it is best to stay away from kids and adults for at least 5 days.
  • You have to miss school for about 5 days (one whole school week!).

Well, that's all I know about it, and it's time for go get tested,

Later,

-katrock
