Hey, read this and enjoy....

Once, a long time ago when Whyville had just been discovered, there were no seasons, night, or day... there are only seasons today in Whyville because of the Snowfairy. She was on a trip wandering about the world when she stumbled on Whyville Island and said to herself, well, this looks like a nice place to live... but she soon discovered that the Firefairy was living there. That's why there was only day and it never changed to winter, fall, or spring -- it was always summer and hot!

The Snowfairy visited the Firefairy one day to consult her about telling the Earthfairy and other season fairies to come to Whyville Island so that we could have seasons, night, and day but the Firefairy only said, "Why should they come crowd the land! I was here first!" This made the Snowfairy very very mad.

She decided to use her power to make a huge, beautiful snowstorm. Then she planned to invite all the season fairies to come and plan their dates for the seasons around the Firefairy's summer strike.

And so, the Snowfairy made the storm and released it into the air; suddenly everything was white, and icicles were everywhere. It was beautiful, but very cold. This made the Firefairy very very mad and she decided to create the hottest day ever, so the snow would melt... but doing this would take a couple of months. By this time, the other season fairies had already moved in, and that day, there was a night in Whyville and everyone was happy, because there was a change for once in a while.

It went on, day, night, day, night, etc, and the seasons changed and they even let the Firefairy have her Summer... and to this day the fairies live in Whyville, hidden somewhere. Will we ever see them? I shall never know....
