Warm breezes stir the air
gentle rain falls to the ground
awakened from their winter slumber,
tender shoots grow all around
Butterflies float on gilded wings,
plump white clouds hang in the sky
fragrant blooms of white and pink
feed the bees who buzz and fly
Daffodils, with nodding cups
spring up and fill the golden air
sparkling brooks flow over rocks
robins chirp without a care
Lovers laugh on garden swings
weeping willows dip and sway
honeysuckle climbs up walls
children laugh and run away
Now's the time to start anew
to shed cocoons and then take wing
to live and breathe and laugh and play
for winter's over, it is SPRING
