6:15, the clock ticks violently,
Like a dog, panting for water.
Slow motion, as if time is now frozen;
Anticipation of the future...
Why can't we live in the present?

Silence, so much that I can hear my pulse,
The world seems to have taken a breather.
A moment of silence,
Yet, that doesn't please me...
Why is it that time seems to move quicker when you're
having fun?

One minute, a million years, two minutes, an eternity,
Father time must have dozed off.
Twiddling my thumbs, rocking side to side,
Awaiting my freedom...
When will this finally be over?

The ticking, now tampering on my nerves,
Louder than a wild coyote, howling at the moon.
White walls, no flashy video games or television,
Nothing to amuse the sight...
Why is it that a thirty minute punishment seems to last
your whole childhood?
