It's an historic day! Whyvillians chose their third Senator ever: Sonner!

Read the lead article in today's paper to find out more about our new Senator and the election results. Congralations to everybody who got involved, from the very beginning to the end. I hope we all keep learning more and more about the political process!

Sonner's first Senate Meeting with City Hall and Senator OrEoBaBy is being planned, possibly for the week of May 17. Keep your ears to the ground and eyes on City Hall's announcements board!

On a side note, our illustrious Senator *did* lose something this week -- he was beaten in a checkers match by our very own City Worker neutral. I didn't see the game, but from the screen shot of the end that was passed around, it looks like neutral (who's a chess champion, by the way) dominated things pretty handily. No offense, Sonner! :-)

That checkers match was part of an ongoing tournament that's been organized by Whyville citizen Deriko. He says the games will be played It's pretty cool to see citizens getting together this way -- thanks, Deriko!!!

City workers were also seen playing in a challenge match over at the Ion Engine Hotspots game. They say they had a really great time, and hope to repeat the feat again sometime. You Whyvillians better fine tune your skillz, 'cause they're coming!

Many folks have read about and submitted their photos to the Adobe-sponsored photo contest. Have you? The contest is still going, so send away!!! This month's winners are in this week's Whyville Times -- check them out!

From what I hear, you can also see the photos in the Greek Theater when nothing else is going on....

And, as most folks know, Whyville's birthday was in March. The question of the day is: Do you celebrate *your* Whyville Birthday?
