Do you wanna have a real fun Valentine's Day this year? Well, stick around and you'll read how to in this article.

Candy: Try buying molds of hearts or Cupids and then fill them with chocolate or hard candy. You might use red chocolate or red hard candy, like in my hard candy recipe in last week's Times.

Cards: Why not make your own cards? You could use cardboard, construction paper or anything else you might think of. If you do make your own and you have the time, make them all different! That's what my friends and I used to do. Or if you're planning on buying some, spice them up by adding candy or a few decorations.

Gifts: You could also make gift baskets for that secret admirer or date. Get a plain basket and decorate it. Add candy and nice messages. And if you really want to be special, write a poem.

Trade cards/gifts: How about making several someones happy? Give out cards to all your friends and share with them a special day! =)

Those are some neat things you could do in preparation for Valentine's Day. Now look at some of these ideas to polish it off:

Throw a party: Ask your parents if you could throw a Valentine's Day-themed party. Buy red and white streamers. Make hearts from stuff around the house. Maybe your school will throw a dance. That's what they do at my school.

TV specials: There are lots of TV specials on around Valentine's Day. Some good channels to watch for these on are Nickelodeon, Disney, and ToonDisney. There are a lot of others, but these are my favorites, LOL.

I hope you take these ideas into consideration. At my school, they sell lollipops with a card for your special one. And we have the Valentine's Day themed dance. What does your school do?
