Hi! As you can tell by my picture, I am a Junior Whyologist. I signed up for
the Whyology surveys because it seemed like they were for a good cause. Well,
I was right!
The surveys started out asking us who was most likely to get a cold. We got
10 clams just for answering (this was just on the front page). When I went to
do the survey, it asked me lots of questions like what I'd like to be when I
grow up, and then there was kind of like an IQ test, but only with science questions.
It was really easy, and worth the time, because I got two special hats and clams!
This year in school I have learned a lot about science. Please don't start
reading another article just yet, because I have an interesting point.
Science is totally not boring! It's the teacher or book or scientist that is
boring. Science is way interesting in every subject. Take my word for it! There
is also sooo much to learn! I promise!
I used to think science wasn't going to help ME at all. I thought it was just
another boring subject in school, but then my new science teacher taught me
so much! It was so interesting too -- How our ears hear, how light makes things
different colors, why black is the hottest color, why we have seasons, what
our moon is made of, how sound travels. If I'm not mistaken, you'd kind of like
to know these answers, right?
Science really isn't complicated. It's actually fun!
I'm going to end by telling you this. You are a scientist without a doubt.
If you want to do some science really quick, y-mail me and tell me why you are
really a scientist. I know that everyone who reads this article and everyone
else in Whyville and in real life is deep down a scientist!
Thank you,
