Hello Whyville :) I am very excited that I have made it this far in the
senate race. Maybe a little too excited... o.o Well anyway, I would like
to thank my friends and my supporters. I have many ideas, and in my
opinion, think they are great. But before giving my ideas, here is a
little info on me: I am 11 years old, I live in Clinton Township,
Michigan, and I am a girl, of course. I earn 110 clams a day and have
been on Whyville for almost two years, and have a bronze medal. I am in
Club Why and I've had a few articles published in the Whyville Times.
Now, here are my ideas!
1) We should improve the Whyville Map, or, delete it. Delete it because
it is a very confusing map, and I bet no one uses it, and people with
Why passes have the friend finder. Improve it because, like I said, it's
very confusing, and could be improved and used much better.
2) We should delete the Dr. Leila BBSes in Dr. Leila's, because there is
more junk in it that has nothing to do with the topic than petitions!
And I don't quite see how we can have much more stricter rules on how to
use the BBSes.
3) We should delete half of the Tic Tac Toe Rooms because hardly anyone
uses them, even I don't play Tic Tac Toe much.
4) We should have a donation bin in Whyville, where Whyvillians could
donate REAL money in to Whyville! They would have to get parental
permission though, if they are under 18 years of age. And to maybe
encourage the donating of money, they could get a prize for donating,
something that can't be traded or so. Like a medal or a hat or clams!
5) We should get some more jobs on Whyville, other than re-opening the
Y-mail helper application pool. One of the jobs is Whyville Chat room
Announcers. The Whyville Chat room Announcers (or WCA) would go around
in chat rooms, and send out special/important announcements.
Announcements would be ones like, if chat was going to stop soon, server
problems, if face factory is open, when there are senate inaugurations,
senate debates, trivia's, etc. And, these Whyville Chat room Announcers
would have a special hat that would say "WCA", or something like it!
6) Like one of a former candidates ideas, we should have tours around
Whyville for newbies. This would be another kind of job on Whyville, and
two or three experienced Whyvillians could take a group of newbies and
show them around Whyville chat rooms!
7) I know that a lot of new people can get tricked by other citizens
saying that their Y-mail helpers or City Workers, and sometimes newbies
don't even know to look in city records to see if its true! So newbies
can get scammed this way, so I think when someone puts their cursor over
a City Worker or Y-mail helper, underneath their username will be
something that says "Y-mail helper" or "City Worker". This way, newbies
won't be tricked very easily.
8) We should have actual rain or snow or sun showing in chat rooms
occasionally, because that might make chat rooms more, well, fun! Plus,
the weather on the bus stays the same for about like, oh what,
seven-eight months? We could also have a weather reporter or so! Weather
reporters would be in the Whyville Times. And there would be a new
section called Whyville Weather. On the bus, there would be one word
describing the days (or weeks) weather and a link to a weather reporters
article.
9) We should have both Lifetime Why Passes and one month Why Passes, but
the difference would be the price! The Lifetime Why Pass would be around
25-35 dollars, and the one month Why Pass being 5-15 dollars! This way,
Whyvillians would have a choice, and could probably afford either one!
10) Have you ever been taped for giving out an website address? Well, I
have. I'm not saying you shouldn't get taped just for saying an website
address, but I think there should be a list of some cool and maybe
educational websites and you could say them in chat and not get taped!
Maybe some websites that aren't educational here and there, but as long
as they're not bad. And to make sure these websites aren't bad (having
lewd language, inappropriate things, etc..) we could have a group of
Whyvillians (like Y-mail helpers) to check out these websites and if a
website has bad language or whatever, they could report it to a city
worker and the city worker would delete the website from the list. Well,
those are all my ideas! ;) Now, I cannot promise you that any of these
ideas will come to Whyville *if* I won senator, But I would try my very
best. Even if I don't win senator, I will try to make a difference.
Thank you for reading, and please vote for me if you like my ideas, not
my face or my salary! ;) -FiRcH
Hello everyone. *^-^* My name is FiRcH. And obviously, Im running for
Whyville senator! But before giving all my ideas, Ill give a little
info on me!:
My birthday on Whyville is September 29th! I have about 30 accounts and Ive been
a member of Whyville for almost two years. I design a bit in the face
factory and my salary is 110 clams a day. Now here are my ideas, but, I
cannot promise you that they will come true, though I will try my best!
(1) When you enter Club Why and you see that big treasure chest like
thing, and when you click on it, you can make a Club Why Membership
Card? Well, Ive tried that before, and it really doesnt do anything. If
theres no reason to use it, then why do we have it? I believe we should
delete the treasure chest or make it useful.(2) I believe there should
be a donation bin somewhere in Whyville so people could donate REAL
MONEY to Whyville! Id love to donate, but I dont know how. The donation
bin would tell you what to do; you could send money by fax, mail, etc.
But, if youre under the age of 18, you have to get a permission slip
signed by your parents, guardian, grandparents, etc. (3) Delete the BBS
in Dr Leilas. Crazy idea I know, but I dare you to go look at it! It
has
NOTHING to do with science or whatever the topic is! Either that, or
much more strict rules on using the BBSes. (4) We should bring back
Lifetime Why-Passes, AND still have regular one-month Why-Passes! The
only difference is how long they last, and the prices. The Lifetime
Why-Pass would be about 25-35 dollars, and the regular one-month
Why-Pass would be 15-25 dollars! That way, people could afford either
one, and have a choice. (5) Have you ever been taped for giving out an
website address? Well, I have. Im not saying you shouldnt get taped
just
for saying an website address, but I think there should be a list of
some cool and maybe educational websites and you could say them in chat
and not get taped! Maybe some websites that arent educational here and
there, but as long as theyre not bad. And to make sure these websites

have a group of Whyvillians (like Y-mail helpers) to check out these
websites and if a website has bad language or whatever, they could
report it to a city worker and the city worker would delete the website
from the list. (6) We should get rid of the Whyville Map because on my
opinion and on many others opinions, the Whyville Map isnt very
helpful.
Plus, many people with Why-passes have the friend finder. Maybe we
could
improve the Whyville Map or just delete it. (7) We should have actual
rain or snow or sun showing in chat rooms occasionally, because that
might make chat rooms more, well, fun! Plus, the weather on the bus
stays the same for about like, oh what, seven-eight months? We could
also have a weather reporter or so! Weather reporters would be in the
Whyville Times And there would be a new section called Whyville
Weather.
On the bus, there would be one word describing the days (or weeks)
weather and a link to a weather reporters article. (8) I know that alot
of new people can get tricked by other citizens saying that their
Y-mail
helpers or City Workers, and sometimes newbies dont even know to look
in
city records to see if its true! So newbies can get scammed this way,
so
I think when someone puts their cursor over a City Worker or Y-mail
helper, underneath their username will be something that says Y-mail
helper or City Worker. This way, newbies wont be tricked very easily.
Well, those are all my ideas for now :) Please, dont vote for me just
because you might think that I look pretty or earn a bunch of clams a
day. Vote for who you think will help Whyville and if you like their
ideas or whatever :P And I cannot promise you everything, but I will
try
my absolute best!! Have a great day. Please vote for me ^_^ -FiRcH-
Editor's Note: This is one of the top three platforms selected by Whyville citizens over the last ten days or so, chosen in the new Senate Primary! Read New Senate Race! to learn more about the new system. You can also check out last year's The Senate Race! by City Hall to start with the basics of a Senate Race.
This article is Firch's Senate Platform, edited from the original by the Times Editor, who removed personal information. Post your questions for Firch in the BBS below. She may answer them, or City Workers may use your questions for the Whyville Senator Debate, to be hosted by City Hall in the Greek Theater.
Rule number one: Keep it polite. Asking pointed questions is one thing. Attacking is another, so please understand the difference. Overly nasty posts can be 911-reported.
Rule number two: Stick with the candidate the BBS is about. Don't rave about your favorite candidate in someone else's BBS, please. Don't diss another candidate, either.
That's all! Now, let's get political!
