Hey! Here's xcarrotx, here to tell you a few tips on how to feel better about yourself.
To top it off, I interviewed someone about what helps them feel more confident.
Pyschology is an important subject in today's society. I, myself, am very interested in it. :) Feeling confident can help you master almost anything . . . from an English test to getting a grade higher in Spanish (although studying helps both of those things.) "So, what can I do to feel more confident?" you wonder. Well, here's some tips:
- Make a list of things you like about yourself and/or your appearance. Read it every night before you go to bed.
- Remember: You're unique. The FBI has collected millions and millions of fingerprints, but none of them are the same.
- Someone loves you: You have food, water, and shelter . . . Why else would anyone provide for you unless they loved you?
- If you're feeling down about a dearly departed loved one, think about them watching out for you from heaven.
- If you're nervous, say to yourself that you can do it. Go ahead, say it out loud. It works, trust me. :)
- Remember to hydrate. If you're not feeling confident over schoolwork, it helps to drink water. Water helps rejunvenate the brain.
- Draw a butterfly (or find a picture of one) and hang it in your locker. Let it remind you that every human being is special.
Tips helping? I interviewed go28 for her own tips.
xcarrotx: May I interview you for the Times?
go28: Okay. Sure
xcarrotx: What are some things you do to make yourself feel more confident?
go28: Ummm . . . having more clams! LoL!
xcarrotx: How about in school?
go28: Getting good grades and having people support me.
xcarrotx: What kinds of people support you? Friends, teachers, parents, etc. :)
go28: Friends in my class.
xcarrotx: Do you think support helps on a test?
go28: No.
xcarrotx: Okay, I got some pretty good answers. Thanks!
Support may not help for go28, but I'm sure she has some incredible friends! :) I agree with go28. Support from family, teachers, and friends help you feel more confident.
If you aren't feeling as confident in school, and you're embarrassed to go to your parents for help, why not ask your teacher? I think that any teacher would be happy to help. I would be happy to offer advice on confidence (or anything else :o) if you ask! Take some of the tips, and remember to feel confident in everything you do.
Going to search for a butterfly picture,
