Most of us all love the feeling of working hard on a project or goal, and achieving it, all by ourselves. Some of us are very successful independent workers, you might even know quite a few people that are amazing at what they do.

Just look at some of the Whyvillians around town, with over 100,000 clams! That is quite an amazing thing in my opinion. So some of you might be thinking, "Where are these Whyvillians and how can I talk them into sharing?" Well I'm not going to tell you who they are because, as we all know, you can't make a fortune by giving it all away to complete strangers.

There are many great individualistic people out there, but what about when these people come together? By combining the powers of many of these talented, hardworking coffee-drinking power-houses, what do you get? Sometimes, a really good business, because of the similarities these people share, but a lot of the time, you get a mess. Some people are work better by themselves, because that way they can't fight about any important things with anyone.

What about the other kinds of people? People who aren't great at handling everything at once, but better at doing one thing, one main and very good talent. When a bunch of these people come together they could possibly make an excellent team.

A definition taken from, www.dictionary.com:

A team is, a number of persons associated in some joint action.

This could mean a football team, a wrestling team, a business team, or even a S.W.A.T. team. There are so many different meanings this word falls into, because there are so many people out there coming together, to make something better.

I bet you see teams all the time, sports teams, amazing businesses, theatrical performances, circuses. All of these things involve teamwork, and people equally contributing the best they can to be the best they can be.

Teamwork, is defined as:

Cooperative or coordinated effort on the part of a group of persons acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause.

Another thing I would say helped me decide whether or not to try out for certain sports teams, is the fact that I didn't know anyone at my school, and what better way to meet people other than working with them and showing them your many talents. I met some really great people on sports teams, some who will most likely be long-term friends.

So in total my advice is, to go to your school and join in a team, or a group. Maybe try out for a part in the school play, student council, or even a sports team. Who knows you might be really good at something and not even know it.

Sincerely,
