Step 1: Identify the Problem
What is on your mind? What is something you would like to help in solving?
Step 2: The "How to ..."
Rephrase your problem in 3 different ways, each starting with "How to..."
Step 3: Choose your "How to"
Of the three "How to..." statements you wrote, pick the one that you like best. Which one really gets to the
heart of what your problem is?
Step 4: Divergent Thinking Time!
Think of as many ideas to solve this problem as possible. Use your imagination and don't judge any of your answers. All is good!
Step 5: Convergent Thinking Time!
From the list of ideas, choose the idea you like the most. Then, create a solution statement that begins with the phrase
"What I see myself doing is..."

Step 6: Make your Action Plan
Now that you have your solution statement, think of the steps for an action plan.
Think of who is going to do what, by when. Remember you can ask people to help you!
