Whyville Needs Planes!
PlaneWorks Barons make their fortunes (or fall to ruin) in the plane manufacturing business. They do so by designing plane parts or assembling planes to sell to the Whyville government. But Whyville doesn't want just any old plane. Whyville wants batches of planes with special specifications. Each "Call for Planes" is a contract that is open until the End Date.

You can participate in PlaneWorks Barons in two ways:
You can be a builder, like Baron von Builder. As a builder, you will order plane parts and assemble planes to fulfill a government contract. The plane parts are created by vendors. Some vendors make better parts, some vendors deliver the parts more on time than others. If the vendors you choose send you good parts on time, and the planes assembled from the parts satisfy the government contract, there's a good chance that the government will pay you big clams!

To be a builder, visit Baron von Builder's Assemblage to order plane parts and submit to a government contract.

You can be a vendor, like Baron von Vendor. As a vendor, you will design plane parts that builders will use for assembling planes. If your parts are useful for fulfilling current government contracts, builders will buy your parts in their quest to fulfill government contracts. As a vendor, you are rated on the quality of your parts and the timeliness of your delivery. The better you are at PlaneWorks CAD and Olympics, the higher the quality of your parts (max = 100). The more you visit Whyville, the more timely you can make your deliveries (max = 100).

To be a vendor, visit Baron von Vendor's Workshop to design plane parts.
