You are still in charge of all the power plants in this city. Your job is still to turn them on and off at the right times to assure that the city gets all the electricity it needs.

But now, you must take into account that some power sources are intermittent:.
 

Hydroelectric: the flow of water can dry up Solar: darkness or clouds might stop operation Wind: calm air can slow or stop the turbines

So now, you have to plan ahead, assuring that even if some of those power plants lose their energy sources, you still have enough power to meet the demand of the city.
